Not that I'm a terribly avid blogger, but I do have my one follower (thanks, Sara! :) And others might stumble upon this blog and wonder how I could have made only two posts in the last 6 months, both random and uninteresting at that. So I want to officially announce my new blog, which I plan on updating more often and being better organized and more interesting than this blog, which as of my January 2011 post has apparently become a storage-box for random information.
paperworkandstuff.blogspot.com is where to go for this interesting, organized information about the paper crafts and other projects that I engage in. I plan to include step-by-step instructions for how I create my art, and photos of the process. So far I've posted twice in two months, which beats my current record! Yay me! Let's see if I can keep it up, or even turn it into something far more wonderful!

8 Petal Flower
In an attempt (again) to organize and declutter my house, I have gathered papers with important notes that I don't want to get rid of, but don't have anywhere to put. So, I thought my worthless blog is as good a place as any other to store these notes. First, the directions for crocheting an 8-petal flower (I don't promise that my short-hand uses correct abbreviations, by any means).
- G hook, chain 6, join
- Ch. 1, 16 SC in loop, join
- Ch. 3, 3 DC in same space, Ch. 3, SL ST in same space, SL ST over 2 spaces, continue for 8 petals around
- Ch. 1, SC in same space, Ch. 5, Skip 2 petals, SC next SC, around 4x, SL ST in beginning SC
- Ch. 4, 5 TC in loop, Ch. 4, SL ST in loop, repeat 2x in each loop, SL ST to next loop, continue around for 8 petals.
